Iowa
State University has introductory college courses online.
Tests, homework, and interaction with instructors and other
students are all online. You pick the time and the place
for class. Course materials are available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. Most courses have specific dates when assignments
and tests are due. The beginning and ending dates of the
courses coincide with ISU semesters.
Whether
your school district pays for the courses under the Iowa
Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act (PSEOA) or you pay
the tuition on your own, the credit is the same as that
earned by an Iowa State student on campus.
When
you go to college at Iowa State or elsewhere, your academic
advisor will determine how your Iowa State credits fit in
your specific degree program. Credits earned appear on your
ISU transcript.
Iowa
State University is internationally recognized as an outstanding
broad-based university, with excellent programs in the scientific
and technical fields, as well as humanities and the arts.
Iowa State is one of only 63 major research universities
in the United States and Canada named to the prestigious
Association of American Universities.
