Iowa State University offers courses for lifelearners online, via CD-ROM, DVD, on-site at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, and in other Iowa locations. Annually, thousands of students of all ages enroll in Iowa State University courses without setting foot on campus in Ames.

Continuing Education and Communication Services (CECS) acts as an interface between the lifelearner and the Iowa State administrative and instructional units to provide a successful learning experience for the student and the instructor. CECS helps you access the right course development, registration, promotion, and other administrative details so you can focus on course content and be assured of seamless course delivery.
