Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or
Social Work Hours

How to apply and qualify your program or course
The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and Social Work Hours are uniform units of assessment that measure individual participation in noncredit continuing education. Adults may use these assessment units for quantitative measurement, recording, reporting, accumulation, transfer, and recognition of participation in a variety of noncredit continuing education activities. CEUs and Social Work Hours are not normally used to measure participation in traditional academic coursework, however some courses may be offered for both credit and noncredit.

To request CEUs or Social Work Hours for your event, complete the appropriate form. Once approved, an application is valid for two years from the starting date of your program. ISU Continuing Education and Communication Services will issue CEUs or Social Work Hours for your program as many times as it is offered during this two-year period if the program focus and length remain the same.

Send an advance copy of a brochure for all subsequent offerings to ISU Continuing Education. Participants in your noncredit event will be charged $10 for each certificate issued.
