off-campus since 1994, the non-thesis Master of Family and
Consumer Sciences is designed for working professionals.
The degree can enhance your skills in your current position
and increase your chances for promotion.
The
comprehensive degree requires a minimum of 18-21 credits
in two or more programs
- Family
and Consumer Sciences Education and Studies
- Food
Science and Human Nutrition
- Foodservice
and Lodging Management
- Human
Development and Family Studies
- Textiles
and Clothing
At
least six credits must be earned in each of the selected
programs. In addition, credits are required in research
methods and statistics. With electives, the degree program
totals 36 credits.
Two
specializations are online---Family
Financial Planning and Gerontology.
Specialization
tracks are offered in other departments with a wide variety
of courses; however, not all courses for those specializations
are available online.
