On
campus and online
The
courses are designed for working professionals. Each certificate
program is 12 credits. You may even start with a graduate
certificate and then apply the courses to the Master of
Family and Consumer Sciences degree with a dietetics specialization.
The
American Dietetic Association's new continuing education
requirements for registered dietitians requires a five-year
plan for professional development that must include a minimum
of 75 hours of continuing education. Acquire both theoretical
and applied knowledge in any of the ISU certificates or
master's program. The certificate programs began in spring
2001.
If you want to start quickly or want to try a course before
committing to a program, you may take a course without being
admitted to either program. Just select a course and register.
You may apply up to nine semester hours of graduate credit
toward a graduate degree if your department determines the
work taken in nondegree status fits in your graduate program.
