Each semester, the Department of Community and Regional
Planning offers select courses to off-campus students via
distance learning using digital versatile disc (DVD) technology.
The
Iowa State Department of Community and Regional Planning
offers a recognized master's program on campus to those
interested in broadening their understanding or pursuing
a career in planning.
Off-campus
students may take courses to expand their knowledge in a
particular area or to apply to a degree. Courses range from
Introduction to Community and Regional Planning to Sustainable
Communities to Environmental Law.
At
present a full Master of Community and Regional Planning
is not offered via distance learning. Iowa State faculty
are discussing the introduction of a full offering of the
master's program via distance learning with the Planning
Accreditation Board (PAB) as part of its commitment to innovative
teaching and delivery modes.
