Delivery fees
Some ISU departments and colleges charge an off-campus delivery fee in addition to tuition. In some colleges, the fee supports the direct expenses such as duplicating and mailing videotapes and CD-ROMs, paying for ICN transmission, providing technical support for distance learning delivery, or rent for buildings outside campus. In some colleges, the delivery and service fee helps supports the people and infrastructure to deliver courses and programs to off-campus students. Applicable fees are listed with the course description.

Activity and services fee
The fee allows you to purchase tickets to certain Iowa State cultural and athletic events at student prices and use recreational and other services on campus. The fee is optional if you are taking continuing education courses only. If you are enrolled in any on-campus courses, this fee is mandatory. For more information on the activity and services fee please visit the Office of Registrar's Tuition and Fees page.

Payment plans
According to the Receivables Office website:

"The Fall semester is due August 20th, Spring semester is due January 20th, and Summer Semester is due on May 20th. Payments may be made electronically via AccessPlus, Acct/U-Bill, Pay Bill Online and a designated amount may be withdrawn from a checking/savings account. Payments by check may be sent to the Treasurer's Office, 1220 Beardshear Hall, Ames, IA 50011-2044 and made payable to Iowa State University."

Bill to employer
If your employer needs a bill for your tuition, you may use AccessPlus after your registration is accepted. Under Account/Ubill, complete the Billing Info Release option for the third party statement.

Sometimes your plans change
and you need to change your registration. Different refund schedules apply for dropping all courses and for dropping one course but staying enrolled in others.

A full refund is available if you cancel your registration before the first day of classes. Once the term begins, refunds are calculated in accordance with the Federal Higher Education Amendments. Your refund decreases the longer you wait to cancel your registration. For example, there is no tuition adjustment after the 10th day of a semester for a course that is 16 weeks long.

Additional fees besides tuition, particularly delivery fees, usually are not refundable.

For complete information on refund schedules, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Drop courses in one of the following ways:
•Call the Office of the Registrar, (515) 294-1889
•Send an e-mail to isuregis@iastate.edu
•Send a fax to the Office of the Registrar, (515) 294-6773
•Visit the Office of the Registrar, 0460 Beardshear Hall

If none of your courses has begun, and you wish to cancel your registration in all courses for a specific term:
•Fax or mail the registration cancellation form http://www.iastate.edu/~registrar/forms/cancel.pdf to the Office of the Registrar, or
•Call 515-294-1889

Check your AccessPlus account to verify you dropped the course.

Adding a course
Summer sessions--To add a class after the third class meeting, you need written permission from the instructor. Registration is closed after the fifth meeting of summer classes.

Spring and fall semesters--To add a class five days or more after the term begins, you need written permission from the instructor.
