Integrated Pest Management
Course: Agronomy (Agron) 514, section XC

Principles and practices of weed science, entomology, and plant pathology applied to crop production systems. Biology, ecology, and introductory principles of crop pest management.
Prerequisites: restricted to students in Iowa State graduate degree programs, Agron 114 (Fundamentals of Agronomy), Agron 501 (Crop Growth and Development), Biology 109 (Introductory Biology), Chemistry 163 (General Chemistry), Mathematics 140 (College Algebra); if not enrolled in MS in Agronomy, contact Jesse Drew, msagron@iastate.edu
Recommended prerequisites: Agron 502 (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology of Soils) and 503 (Climate and Crop Growth)
Recommended minimum computer requirements: PC with Windows Operating System, 200 MHz processor, video, audio, and graphics capabilities, 64 Mb RAM and CD-ROM, Internet access, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Office

Workshop: Agronomy
Course: Agronomy (Agron) 594, section XA

Practical field and laboratory experience integrating coursework in climatology, crops, and soils. Workshop includes lectures, labs, and local agri-business tours.
Prerequisites:
Agron 501 (Crop Growth and Development), 502 (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology of Soils) and 503 (Climate and Crop Growth)
Recommended prerequisites: Agron 511 (Crop Improvement), 512 (Soil-Plant Environment) and 513 (Quantitative Methods for Agronomy)
