Workshop: Teaching Ag Careers across the Curriculum, an
Ag Literacy Challenge
Course: Agricultural Education and Studies (AgEdS) 593A,

Learn new and innovative ways to integrate career exploration
activities into agriculture classrooms and courses. A major
emphasis will be to help teachers design a course and/or
limit of study that will include information on what is
fueling the hiring demands of future career opportunities
in agriculture, how to identify student interests, how to
develop skills for careers and how to encourage self assessment.

and tested by thousands of teachers nationwide. The Food,
Land and People curriculum materials focus on technical
science and social sciences. Subjects include environmental
science and stewardship and other related issues.
