ISUCard

The ISUCard is your permanent student identification card. It verifies your status as an Iowa State student and provides access to university services and facilities. Even if you don’t attend Iowa State every semester, keep your card. Your first card is free but you will be charged for a replacement.

E-mail Account/Network ID
You need an ISU ID, the middle number (nine digits) on your ISU card to sign up for a network ID. Go to the Iowa State Acropolis site, https://asw.iastate.edu/cgibin/acropolis/register. Fill out the required information on each screen in the series and click "Next" to create your Net-ID and password. Your NetID will activate overnight.

AccessPlus
AccessPlus is Iowa State University's electronic system to your personal information. Information on AccessPlus is confidential. Current students and those enrolled as students fall 1996 and later can log in. With AccessPlus you can

  • view and print grades
  • view a current or future term class schedule
  • get your ISU ID (ISUCard) number for NetID registration and various university forms
  • change your address
  • print an unofficial transcript
  • review your current university bill
  • view or print financial aid information
  • print tax forms 1098-E and 1098-T for higher education federal tax benefits
  • register for courses

Note: You may register for off-campus courses in a variety of ways.

To login to AccessPlus, go to https://accessplus.iastate.edu/frontdoor/login.jsp. Your login ID is your social security number or your ISU ID number.
The first time you log in to AccessPlus your password defaults to your birth month and day (for example January 2 is 0102) unless you received a temporary password from Admissions previously.

Once you have logged in, you must set a new password. The password must be six to eight characters in length and contain at least one letter and one number. If you have further questions regarding password requirements, read the FAQ. A secret question is available to better manage passwords in AccessPlus. It is important to set the secret question as soon as possible. The secret question allows you to retrieve your password without making a trip to campus if you become locked out of AccessPlus or forget your password.
Visit the AccessPlus Web site.

Transcripts, Grades
Grade reports are not mailed. Generally, grades are on AccessPlus one week after the semester concludes. Visit the AccessPlus Web site, which has a demonstration if you've not used the site or want to try new aspects of the system.

Unofficial transcripts are available through the AccessPlus system.

Official Iowa State University transcripts can be ordered through AccessPlus and charged to your university bill. Your transcript can be mailed to the address(es) of your choice.
To place an order,
sign into AccessPlus, pick the 'Student' tab.
Select the menu item 'Grades and Transcripts' from the left side menu bar.

You may still call (515) 294-1840 to order a transcript. Visit www.iastate.edu/~registrar/info/transcpt.html for more options and details on ordering your transcript.

All ISU off-campus courses carry residential credit, the same credit awarded for study on campus. Credits earned are recorded on an official ISU transcript and may be applied toward degree programs at Iowa State or elsewhere.
