Topical Studies in Landscape Architecture: Developing a Rock Solid Future
Course: Design Studies (Dsn S) 478A/Landscape Architecture (L A) 478A/578A, section XI

Develop an understanding and appreciation of the construction industry as it relates to current environmental, land use, and image issues. Learn about the role mining, hot mix asphalt, and concrete play in building and maintaining our nation's infrastructure. Learn the role landscape architects and teachers play in resolving problems encountered by these industries.
Prerequisite: L A 371 (Landscape Architectural History: 1800 to Present) or permission of the instructor, (515) 294-5676 or jmcguire@cessfordconstruction.com
