Environmental factors affecting crop growth and yield. Climatic
and edaphic adaptation of crop species. Management systems
for crops with an emphasis on the ecology of row and forage
crops common to the Midwest.
Prerequisites: Agron 501 (Crop Growth and Development),
502 (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology of Soils), and 503
(Climate and Crop Growth); restricted to graduate students
enrolled in degree programs at Iowa State University; if
not enrolled in MS in Agronomy, contact msagron@iastate.edu
