Mission

Catalyze Iowa State's outreach and engagement to become the best in Iowa State's areas of expertise.

Vision
Continuing Education and Conference Services (CECS) staff provides the market knowledge, communication resources, and enterprise skills for Iowa State University and ISU Extension outreach and engagement activities to succeed and prosper in the increasingly competitive environments.

University Conference Services (UCS), Registration Services, and Continuing and Distance Education Administration and Marketing units facilitate the selection, development, administration, and delivery of education products that meet learners' needs and exceed clients' expectations for efficacy and programmatic success. These units monitor regional, national, and international trends in outreach education and position Iowa State's continuing and distance education programs to succeed.

CECS ensures that Iowa State outreach educators have up-to-date market knowledge about communications and content delivery, new technologies and processes, and emerging structures and relationships in their client and customer communities of interest.

CECS seeks out and responds to opportunities, thus maintaining a reputation for good business judgment and realizing the potential of new projects. It provides effective management of both enterprise-level and operations-level projects and maintains transparent and accountable processes and performance.
