Continuing
and Distance Education (CDE)
is a gateway to Iowa State University, a Carnegie Research
1 university that is committed to affirming its land
grant responsibility of delivering education to the people.
CED works with Iowa State faculty and staff to enhance
Iowa's economic development and extend research and information
to individuals, businesses and industry.
CDE,
in cooperation with all ISU colleges and Extension field
staff, delivers off-campus credit courses, degree programs,
service-learning programs, noncredit conferences and
seminars and ISU Extension educational materials to
learners around the world.
The
University serves as a local, state, national, and international
resource in the fields of agriculture, business, design,
engineering, human sciences, liberal arts and sciences,
and veterinary medicine.

more than 4,000 audio market news broadcasts, online

and other educational materials. ISU Extension materials
are available in several formats for Iowans, who
use the information when making economic and quality-of-life
decisions.

average, 245,000 people visit ISU Extension's Web
servers every month.
- Approximately
560,000 people toured ISU Extension educational
exhibits at the Des Moines Arts Festival, Iowa
